Final summary

Well, in the end we finished the World Cup with one more star ✊🏻⭐⭐ and a bank balance of €849, meaning we earned a 6% return. We didn’t get rich, but it’s a much higher monthly return than what other investment products offer, right?

I’m especially pleased to have finished in the green because several factors worked against us. For example, we placed 90 bets totaling €1305 (YIELD = 4%), of which we only won 46. A 51% win rate is lower than usual for my predictions. As you know, I’m quite conservative (in this regard), so I normally win around 65% of my bets. Furthermore, we missed many bets that shouldn’t be missed—the high-stakes ones. In fact, the balance of the bets with stakes of 8, 9, and 10 is -€81.

Some interesting facts

The «Who wins the World Cup» game has given us a profit of €58, the «Who wins the golden boot» game €22 and we have lost €15 with your «I had a dream» bets.

The best team for us was Spain with a profit of €131, followed by Morocco with €46. The worst team was Argentina with losses of €77, followed by Germany and Brazil.

We’ve earned €52 thanks to bookmaker promotions. That means without these promotions we would have ended up with a loss of €3. As I always say, it’s very important to take advantage of promotions.

So what now?

To recover your investment and profits, just let me know. I’ll make a transfer or, when possible, a cash payment (I need to empty the cookie tin 😁). To simplify the accounts and compensate a bit more for the work, I’m going to round the current value of each share to €105.

Hold your position. Stay

While I think of a better way to define this relationship, I will maintain an active Whatsapp group through which I will only share remarkable bets within the world of clubs.

I’m going to consider last week’s bet on Promise Davis to score for USG as the first of this second stage. It seems like a perfect example of the type of bets I’ll be making for the group: looking for profitability but with a touch of fun at the same time.

The current value of this new fund will be €105 for each active member + €38.75 that we earned with our first bet outside the World Cup.
